The CDI may cause damage if the regulator not being changed.
We have a lot of experience with these ATV's. We highly recommend replacing the voltage regulator rectifier at the same time as the CDI unit. It is the reason for CDI failures. These unit are triple tested at the factory to make sure they perform properly.

The only real way to test your CDI box is to swap it out with another known good unit from the same year/make/model. Because of this, we recommend that you rule everything else out before replacing the CDI box
Our CDI may use a different wire color code than your original.
All of the wires are installed in the correct order; please do not change any of the wiring configurations.
This CDI is designed as a direct plug-in replacement and should be used as such.

As we have great expertise with these ATVs, we strongly recommend that you replace your voltage regulator at the same time as changing your electronic box. Indeed, this is one of the main reasons for the malfunction of the electronic box. In addition, to ensure the performance of the part, we test it up to three times in the factory.
