Generator Stator for Polaris Sportsman 600 2004-2005 / 700 Carb 2004-2006 | OEM # 4010901
There are two possible stators for the 2004-2005 Polaris Sportsman 600 & 700 / 2005 Polaris Sportsman MV7. This one has 18 charging poles. For the 11 charging poles & 1 ignition pole stator, the right part is RM01292. Please compare your current stator before buying.
This stator requires reusing your original 16-terminal connector. Please de-pin the stator wires from the connector, and install our wires, being careful to keep color and location the same.
Some applications of this stator will use a 3-terminal connector wiring jumper. We include this for you to replace your old connector if it matches your application.
If you do not have a 3-terminal connector wiring jumper, ours is not needed. These applications will instead have a 2-terminal wire jumper with a black rubber plug that will need to be reused.
We include a short wiring jumper with Black and White wires and a 2-terminal rubber plug to replace your original as well.
Battery condition is extremely important. No stator can work correctly with a bad or weak battery. Always fully charge your battery before performing any charging system tests or replacing parts. If there is any doubt, have the battery load tested or replaced.

- Check the AC output of the stator
- Replace any burned or corroded connectors on stator and regulator/rectifier
- Check and repair any melted wiring
- Use hi-temp dielectric grease on all connectors
Our stator may use a different wire color code than your original.
All the wires are installed in the correct order; please do not change any of the wiring configurations.
This stator is designed as a direct plug-in replacement and should be used as such.
When bolting stator in, always use locking compound.
If our stator includes a pickup coil, always make sure the air gap is correct upon installation; we suggest as close as possible no less than 0.010".
