PLEASE NOTE : This voltage regulator is ONLY for lithium batteries THIS IS NOT FOR LEAD ACID BATTERIES. Output Voltage is the key factor in a voltage regulator designed specifically for Lithium batteries. The ideal charging voltage for Lithium batteries is 13.9-14.2VDC. The RMSTATOR regulator has a carefully set output voltage of 14.1VDC (+/- 0.1VDC). This stable and ideal output voltage carefully keeps a lithium battery in it’s ideal charging range.

Please contact the manufacturer of your Lithium Ion Battery to ensure our product has the correct set point for their product

Protect your investment in an expensive lithium battery with our lithium battery voltage regulator!

Battery condition is extremely important. No stator or voltage regulator can work correctly with a bad or weak battery. Always fully charge your battery before performing any charging system tests or replacing parts. If there is any doubt, have the battery load tested or replaced.

Before installing your new stator:

  • Check the AC output of the stator
  • Replace any burned or corroded connectors on stator and regulator rectifier
  • Check and repair any melted wiring
  • Use hi-temp dielectric grease on all connectors

Our stator might have a different wire color code than your original part.
All the wires are installed in the correct order; please do not change any of the wiring configurations.
This stator is designed as a direct plug-in replacement and should be used as such.
When bolting stator in, always use locking compound.
If our stator includes a pickup coil, always make sure the air gap is correct upon installation; we suggest as close as possible but no less than 0.010".

Before installing your new voltage regulator rectifier:

  • Check the AC output of the stator.
  • Replace any burned or corroded connectors on stator and regulator rectifier.
  • Check and repair any melted wiring.
  • Use hi-temp dielectric grease on all connectors.

Before attempting to start your Yamaha motorcycle adjusting the air gap is necessary. Rotate the flywheel so the raised node is lined up with the pick up/pulser coil and adjust as close as possible but no less than 0.010"

Introducing our newest Heavy Duty Flywheel Rotor For Yamaha Motorcycles

Anyone who rides or repairs a Yamaha YZF R1, FZ1 or FZ8 is probably familiar with the flywheel problems common to these models. Most of these bikes will have at least one flywheel failure in their lifetime so far. Low quality epoxy was used on OEM flywheels to secure the magnets to the rotor body. Over time and many heat cycles, the epoxy fails allowing the magnets to come loose and contact the stator, potentially causing catastrophic damage.

A Heavy Duty Flywheel to the rescue!

New RMSTATOR heavy-duty flywheel rotor for Yamaha Motorcycles is a well-priced solution to problems with the OEM flywheel, and an excellent alternative to all the mechanical troubles you can encounter with a repair.

Features

  • Built to OEM size
Fits precisely in your ride: install it and forget it.

  • Improved epoxy
Uses high temperature epoxy that is stronger than OEM, eliminating the possibility of magnet detachment.

  • High grade steel capping
Prevents heat and friction from degrading the epoxy attaching the magnets. Though extremely unlikely, if a magnet did ever come loose, it would remain in the sleeve preventing contact with the stator.

  • Precise balancing
Eliminates crankshaft vibrations for longer engine longevity.

  • Shop with confidence
Two years warranty. All products are tested.

Don't waste time with temporary solutions, and start fixing your ride like a pro!

Why cheap repairs won't work?

Quick stronger epoxy fixes do repair flywheels in short term. It might however impair long term performance and reliability of your ride.

Remaining OEM magnets:
Original magnets remaining can still come loose at any time.

Magnet alignment:
The alignment of magnets around the flywheel is critical for proper stator operation. Even very fine misalignment will reduce stator efficiency significantly.

Magnet spacing:
Excessive epoxy or incorrect magnet spacing around the flywheel can easily affect the flywheel balance. This can cause stator contact or even crankshaft damages.

Incorrect replacement magnets:
The magnetic field strength of new magnets MUST match the originals. Stator failure can occur quickly with stronger magnets and stator output can be decreased significantly using weaker magnets.

Wrong epoxy properties:
Epoxy that is not rated to permanently handle high temperatures can quickly cause a serious failure.

Oil contamination:
Wrong epoxy for the application can also contaminate the crankcase oil, damaging the motor.

All these reasons make us strongly recommend that you replace your broken flywheel with our new heavy duty flywheel.

Why use Mosfet Enhanced technology?

Runs cooler

Runs much cooler than the traditional Shunt voltage regulator rectifier.

Saves gas

Less load on the stator, less work, less fuel is used and you save.

Regulated energy

The power charging your battery is steadier and smooth.

Extended battery life

Extends the battery’s life and cold cranking capacity.

More engine power

Removes stator load resulting in more engine power.

Optimized power

Optimize power delivery by switching the stator coils on or off.

This product is an advanced design that lowers operating temperatures for extended longevity and better performance than the OEM part.

Brand new Mosfet voltage regulator rectifier

WORKS WITH LITHIUM BATTERIES ONLY

Stop burning your voltage regulator rectifier!
It is time to update or replace your voltage regulator with the advanced MOSFET type.

It runs cooler than all SCR diode-style OEM regulators. In addition, this rectifier has overheat protection, rather than burn up it will simply turn off for a while and cool off.

Top Features

  • Direct replacement to your original unit
  • Plug-and-play, direct fit, easy installation
  • The quality exceeds the OEM part
  • Higher grade of electric components
  • Opposite connector (main harness side) included as we know these are often melted / corroded / defective and a major cause for repetitive electrical issues.

Why do you need a different voltage regulator for lithium batteries?

Lithium batteries have different charging requirements than Lead Acid or AGM batteries that can severely affect their lifespan and performance. The key factors in safe and reliable lithium battery charging are the output DC voltage ripple and average output voltage. The RMSTATOR regulator is designed around the optimal parameters for these factors.

The ripple effect is all that matters

Charging voltage ripple in a powersports application is the difference between the highest and lowest voltages from the voltage regulator output. By nature, a common shunt style voltage regulator will have a fairly high voltage ripple due to the regulation shunt switches opening and closing frequently. Each on/off transition will cause some variation in the output voltage, this is unavoidable. Keeping this to minimum is critical for Lithium batteries, and the RMSTATOR Lithium regulator is designed around this feature.

In a perfect world, a ripple of less than 10% of the output voltage (~1.5V for a typical regulator), would be ideal, however is not practical for this type of regulator. The RMSTATOR Lithium regulator is able to maintain a less than 4 Volts output ripple, compared to verified test results of our competitors 8 volts. Keep in mind this ripple voltage is only seen via an Oscilloscope sampling the voltage 1000’s of times a second, and is not the same as your average charging voltage as measured by a multimeter.
